Titan Laser usually requires little to no healing time and does not carry the same kind of side effects that are common with other types of cosmetic surgery.
Unlike radiofrequency (Thermage) treatments, the infrared light that is dispensed during a Titan treatment does not penetrate the skin at the same depth. The infrared light stimulates new collagen growth deep beneath your skin’s surface. The heat from the laser caused immediate collagen contraction resulting in tighter skin.
Loose skin along the jawline, doubles chins; abdomen and arms are the most successful areas to treat. All skin types, all ages, men and women can all be candidates for this treatment.
As the Titan Laser pulses the patient will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients choose to take a mild pain reliever prior to the treatment. Following the treatment there may be some redness and swelling in the treated area. Both symptoms will disappear within a few hours.
Depending on the area of treatment and skin some patients will see results immediately following one treatment. Most patients will see gradual results following three treatments, 4 to 6 weeks apart, as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.
