This is all due to menopause. Many prepare for the hot flushed and night sweats but you may not know that falling estrogen levels can also affect the health of your skin and hair, leading to dry, flaky skin and lack lustre hair.
Estrogen is what keeps everything hydrated, plump and looking young. It is when estrogen levels begin to drop the skin becomes more wrinkles and dry and in some cases itchy. After menopause, oil glands in the skin shrink and less oil is secreted.
