A-Zyme Peeling (Moderate) Medi Facial

A-Zyme Peeling

The A-Zyme peel is a non-invasive and comfortable skin rejuvenation treatment that combines the fast-acting potent ingredients Retinol and Bromelain, an enzyme derived from pineapples. Together they will refresh, hydrate, refine, and plump your skin.

This enzyme peel improves all skin types and concerns – including congested, acne and sun damage skin. Skin texture and tone will dramatically improve. This treatment is also ideal for the neck and décolletage.

What’s an enzyme?

Enzymes occur in every cell in our body and are responsible for making life-sustaining chemical reactions happen. For example, when waste products accumulate from the building of collagen an enzyme called collagenase jumps into action, breaking down these by-products.

Many enzymes occur naturally in vegetables, plants and proteins and are used cosmetically. Examples include pumpkin, papaya and pineapple enzyme peels which, when applied to the skin, make reactions happen that are beneficial to our appearance / complexion.

Bromelian from pineapples is one such enzyme. It digests protein in cellular debris and different forms of surface build-up, as well as stimulates collagen activity to leave skin soft, clear and more receptive to any subsequent correction product.

Am I a candidate for A-zyme peeling?

A-zyme peels are a safe and effective way for those with superficial blemishes or signs of aging to improve their skin quality gently and gradually without the downtime associated with stronger treatments. Because these peels exfoliate the skin and unclog the pores, they are highly effective in treating acne.

What does A-zyme peeling involve?

After a thorough cleansing the solution will be applied to your skin then left to penetrate for a selected period of time, A-zyme peels are gentle and well tolerated and the entire process takes less than an hour.

We suggest that you use a gentle cleanser and sensitive moisturising lotion for the first few days after your treatment and you should avoid exposing the treated skin to the sun.

You may or may not experience light flaking or redness for a few days, but can usually expect to return to daily activities almost immediately.

How many peels will I need to get the results I want?

Improvement in skin quality and texture may be apparent after your first treatment however for optimal results we recommend continued treatments. The number and spacing of these treatments varies according to individual needs. As a rough guide between 4 and 6 light peels spaced at 2-4 weekly intervals usually deliver very impressive results.
