Frequently asked questions
First time clients should arrive 15 minutes before your appointment, this time allows for completion of registration forms. If you are receiving a laser treatment and would like to be numbed, clients must arrive an hour before the appointment time or arrive numbed.
From time to time we may run behind schedule, we endeavor to call clients when this is the case for ease of your time priorities.
A non refundable $50 (Dermal appointments) or $100 (cosmetic and medi treatments) fee is taken upon confirmation of all appointments. The $50 or $100 fee will act as a cancellation fee for appointments cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the appointment time. Appointments can be transferred to a later date if advised 48 hours prior to the appointment time.
What if I am running late for my appointment?
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. If your arrival time is 15 minutes or later than your scheduled appointment, this may result in a shortened appointment. We reserve the right to reschedule your service if we require more time to complete it.
What is our refund policy?
All sales are final. Should you wish to discontinue your treatment in the midst of a package, credit for the pro rata share of unused treatments at the discounted package price may be extended (the treatments that have already been provided will be charged at current single treatment price to calculate the credit) and this may be used to purchase other treatments (not products) offered by Face Plus.
What if I have an adverse reaction?
Please contact the office immediately. If it is outside of operating hours and you are concerned please contact your local emergency department.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS and cash.
AMEX is also accepted but it incurs a 3% surcharge.
Can I claim cosmetic treatment through Medicare?
No – cosmetic treatments are not claimable unless they can be proved they are directly for medical reasons NOT cosmetic treatment.
Is there anything I should do BEFORE a laser treatment?
If you wish to use a topical numbing cream to counteract the slight discomfort that can accompany this procedure it is advisable to arrive early (at least 30 minutes) so that the therapist can apply a numbing cream.
You should understand the risks involved in the procedure and have given your written consent for treatment. Further information on this treatment can be found on the Laser page.
Is there anything I should BEFORE an IPL treatment?
If you wish to have an IPL treatment it is imperative that you do not have ANY tanning products left on your skin and that you have not had a spray tan or gradual tanning cream or product for 2 weeks in the lead up to your treatment. Similarly, you must not have had direct sun exposure, sunburn or a sun tan in the last 2 weeks on the treatment area. We will not be able to treat you on the day if you have any of the above exposures or products on your skin.

Is there anything I should NOT do before having Anti-Wrinkle or Dermal Filler injections?
It is advisable to NOT take ibuprofen (Nurofen) or large quantities of fish oil in the week leading up to your treatment. This can increase your chances significantly of bruising.
If you wish to use a numbing cream please arrive earlier for your scheduled appointment. Please discuss this with the receptionist when booking. Please do not do rigorous exercise or have had a laser treatment before the injections and particularly not AFTER.
